It seems as though I have developed a liking for taking images of stairs; well stairs which are abandoned during the moment of taking the image. There is something quite unnerving about them, something which creates a sense of the unknown. The unknown feeling of who will be walking down them...

Self Portraits

With Ali being away this week I have been able to devote some time to producing self portraits. I have not been doing a lot of SPs of late, partly because I have not had the time or patience to do them. However, it was so much fun and I have realised that I need to start doing them more regularly. I find the whole process very therapeutic since I feel at my most relaxed when playing with my camera and acting as the main subject. But my lord were the SPs of me in the bath tub whilst the shower was running exhausting. They also turned out to be very dangerous as the water got everywhere making the floorso slippery. Big credit to those photographers on Flickr who manage to produce such wonderful bathroom SP's. I hope you like anyway...

Reunion!

Saturday the 31st was the day of reunions! 

Sarah, thank you for my lovely Harrods cupcake! Although it was short, it was very, very sweet....I look forward to seeing you in September. 

Conor and Miles... well! You never disappoint. 

Having lived in London now for nearly five months I am still yet to have developed any 'new' friendships, so it was a blessing to catch up with my old mates. 

Obviously, I have developed friendships with some of my work colleagues but it is not quite the same... I miss just hanging out talking about absolutely 'nothing' but absolutely everything.

We went to the one off Tottenham Court Rd, London  (which is known as the best of the chain and had a really authentic feel inside). It was on Store St. 

Great prices, lovely staff, fantastic ambiance, and tasty snacks....

I have won two free tickets to see this exclusive exhibition tomorrow in Chelsea from 7:00 pm onwards but I can't go as I am already going to a theatre production. If anyone wants to go to this and is willing to collect the tickets from me please let me know... looks like it will be fun! P.S I work at Tottenham Court Rd or can meet in East London at night.

We went to Shoreditch Festival, East London....

It was a great day out! There was something for everyone, which meant that a wide variety of people was there and the atmosphere was great. From farm animals, to dog parade, to a dance arena, to live bands! Oh and the amazing food. It is great that London host these free events, and even better that they are near to where I live. So here are some pictures taken....

Love Urban Outfitters clothes but don't like the price tag?....

Head down to Oxfam on Goodge St (off Tottenham Court Rd, London) where dresses like this one are being sold for half of the price. And an added incentive is that your money will be going to charity. For those of you who live in Manchester, St Anne's charity located in Ladybarn also sell quite a lot of Urban Outfitter's previous season stock!

I love this shop so much, and was thrilled to see that they have photos on their website which are all awesome. They also have a Flickr account, and I have been looking through all their 'behind the scences' shoots. I can't wait for my next visit, and I'll remember to take my camera with me to get some of my own images...
